Jane App integrations for Canadian clinics
If you're looking for a Jane App integration to connect your clinic's other tools, it helps to know Jane's approach first. Jane works only with approved partners, has no open API, and doesn't allow outside tools to book into its calendar. Here's what does connect, what doesn't, and how Manitoba clinics can still automate the work around Jane safely.
Short answer
- Jane connects through an approved partner program: payments, insurance claims, exercise programs, marketing, phones and analytics.
- Jane has no open API and no Zapier integration, and says it doesn't plan to offer them.
- Outside tools, including AI receptionists, can't book directly into Jane. The workable approach is sending patients your Jane online booking link.
- Canadian Jane accounts are hosted in Canada, but PHIA compliance is still the clinic's responsibility.
Jane's official integrations
Jane's integrations hub lists these partners, grouped here by purpose:
| Purpose | Integrations |
|---|---|
| Payments | Jane Payments (built on Stripe) |
| Insurance claims | TELUS eClaims (real-time adjudication in Canada); Pacific Blue Cross and Teleplan (BC); Claim.MD (US) |
| Exercise & supplements | Physitrack, Wibbi, Fullscript, VitaminLab |
| Marketing & email | Mailchimp, Cyberimpact |
| Phones & fax | Mango Voice, Documo |
| Booking & web | Reserve with Google, Jane Websites, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager |
| Calendars | Calendar subscriptions (one-way feed to Google, Apple or Outlook) |
Two notes. The calendar feed is one-way: you can see Jane appointments in Google Calendar, but changes there don't flow back. And telehealth is built into Jane rather than being a separate integration.
No open API, no Zapier
Jane states that it doesn't have an open API or provide API keys, and has no plans to. Integrations happen through its approval-based partner program, so a clinic can't build its own. There's no official Jane integration on Zapier either.
Jane also warns against tools that need shared logins, ask you to switch off two-factor authentication, or scrape data through browser extensions. That warning matters: those shortcuts put patient information at risk and can break your obligations under PHIA.
Can an AI receptionist book into Jane?
Not directly. Jane has said it isn't working with AI scheduling tools, and posting directly into Jane's calendar isn't supported. Some AI phone vendors advertise a "Jane connector", but those aren't official, and they conflict with Jane's stated policy.
What works, and what we set up for clinics:
- The AI receptionist answers the call, handles common questions (hours, location, parking, what to bring) and routes anything clinical to staff.
- For bookings, it texts the patient your Jane online booking link, so they pick a time in Jane themselves.
- Staff get a short summary of every call, so callbacks are quick.
- Reserve with Google puts a "Book" button on your Google listing that goes straight to Jane's booking site.
It's a less flashy flow than "the AI books for you", but it's reliable, it's within Jane's rules, and it keeps patient data where it belongs. See our AI receptionist and automation for clinics.
Accounting: getting Jane data into QuickBooks or Xero
Jane doesn't integrate directly with any accounting system. Instead, it exports financial reports as CSV or Excel: Sales, Transactions, and a Daily Transactions report formatted for QuickBooks Online and Xero. It also publishes guides for importing them. QuickBooks Online accepts up to 1,000 invoices per import.
This is a good candidate for automation around Jane. A scheduled export can be cleaned, mapped to your chart of accounts and imported, with reconciliation checks, instead of someone doing it by hand every week. Our data-entry automation guide explains the approach.
Privacy and data residency
Clinics choose a data region when they sign up for Jane. Canadian accounts are hosted in Canada (Montreal and Calgary), and data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Jane says it builds with PIPEDA, HIPAA and GDPR in mind, and holds SOC 2 Type 2.
Jane is clear that compliance with provincial health privacy laws, such as Manitoba's PHIA, is the clinic's responsibility, including privacy impact assessments. Any tool you add next to Jane, AI receptionists included, needs the same scrutiny. Our AI & privacy guide covers PHIA and AI in detail.
What Jane clinics can automate today
- Calls: an AI receptionist with booking-link hand-off and call summaries.
- Missed calls: an instant text-back with your booking link.
- Bookkeeping: Jane exports turned into clean QuickBooks or Xero entries.
- Reporting: Jane report exports combined with accounting data in a dashboard.
- Staff knowledge: an internal assistant trained on your policies and procedures, kept away from patient charts.
- Using Jane properly: reminders, intake forms, online booking and Reserve with Google are built in, and are often under-used.
Based on Jane's published documentation as of the date above. Jane's partner list changes, so check jane.app for the current list. This isn't legal advice about PHIA.
